The End of an Era

I’d like to first start off by wishing everyone back home a happy Canada day, surprisingly it’s not that big here in Denmark. We had an awesome couple of days finishing up Belgium and going to the Werchter Rock Concert, Jeff’s still there and I’m sure he’s having a great time.

The last couple of days in Brussels were spent tying up loose ends and getting everything sorted out for the concert and such; trying as many different beers as we could and of course the chocolates.

The first day of the concert was awesome; getting to see Tool, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Black-Eyed pees all in one day was so cool. As well as getting to see others like Deftones, Manu Chao and Damian Marley (Bob Marley’s son) was a great mix of music and was pretty good way to round out the day. The place was packed with people but for most of the acts we could get close, for the Chili Peppers we were a little far back but not too bad. But for Black Eyed Peas we managed to get so close san right dead center. It was defiantly a great day and a wicked blow out for the end of the Cam and Jeff Saga.

The Black Eyes Peas ended at about 2:30am so we headed back to Jeff’s tent to grab my bag, said our goodbyes and I and to run to catch the bus back to the closest train station. I got to the train station at about 3:15 and had to wait there till the first train that could get me to Copenhagen left, which was at 6:30. After that I was off to Copenhagen, had to change trains a couple of times, the best part was that the train had to go on a ferry. It was a ferry just like the BC Ferries, cars and trucks and all that but also trains. The crossing from Germany to Denmark reminded me a little of the crossing to Vancouver.

So, I haven’t seen too much of Copenhagen yet, but I am looking forward to exploring it and Denmark, there’s the head Lego land here, oh yea sweet. I will be heading to Norway in about a week, so I must move quickly here to cram it all in. Well it has been a great four months traveling with Jeff, we have had some great times together and I’m defiantly going to miss Pumpkin Pie. After seeing him every day it was weird to say goodbye when I knew I wouldn’t be seeing him in a couple hours or the next day. I’d just like to say thanks to Jeff for all the good times, have a safe trip home and show us your tits.
